We designed these 775mm lamps for when you’ve got a massive thermal load and you need it handled now. Instead of those old-school metal alloy elements, we use a carbon fiber filament. Why? Because it hits a different part of the infrared spectrum. It doesn’t just warm the surface; it punches through materials much faster. The size and the power At 2000W across 775mm, you’re getting a huge amount of heat spread over a wide area. It’s a sweet spot for things like PET preform heating or those big curing ovens. We wrap the filament in high-purity quartz. Think of it as a clear window. It lets the infrared radiation fly straight through to your target without getting trapped in the glass. More heat where you need it, less wasted energy in the tube. Why carbon fiber actually matters If you’ve used tungsten or nichrome, you know they can warp or sag when things get intense. Carbon fiber is a different beast. It handles thermal shock like a pro. It ramps up fast. Really fast. That means you can flick the power on and off aggressively without worrying about burning out the element. We’ve seen these survive in environments where the power is cycling constantly, and they just keep humming along. A few tips for the setup Before you wire these in, double-check your controllers. Make sure they can actually handle a 2000W load. Here’s the thing: carbon fiber doesn’t behave like metal when it comes to resistance. You’ll see a spike in current the moment you start it up from a cold state, so make sure your power supply is beefy enough to take that hit. And a word of caution on the mounting. The ends of the tube are the most fragile part. If your clips are too tight, the quartz will crack as it expands from the heat.Give it some room to breathe. Also, check your fans. If they aren’t clearing the connectors, you’ll melt your wiring insulation long before the heater itself ever gives out.
