We built these 800mm carbon fiber lamps for those tough industrial drying jobs where standard quartz tubes just can’t keep up. Here’s the secret: we swapped out the usual metal coils for carbon fiber. It changes how the heat actually hits your material. Instead of just warming the surface, it digs deeper into the workpiece and gets up to temperature way faster. It’s a different kind of heat. The power and the footprint Pushing 2000W through an 800mm tube is a lot of energy. We’ve worked hard to make sure that heat is spread evenly from end to end—no annoying cold spots. It’s a slim design, which is great for space, but a word of caution: these things gethot. Really hot. Before you install them, double-check that your housing and reflectors can handle the heat. You don’t want to find out the hard way that your frame is warping. The guts of the machine The carbon fiber element sits inside a high-purity quartz envelope. This keeps the fiber from burning up (oxidizing) and lets the infrared energy flow right through to your part. For the wiring, we use SK15 connectors. If you’ve never used them, they’re simple push-in, spring-loaded bases. They make swapping out a lamp during maintenance a breeze. Plus, they stay tight. Even on a factory floor where everything is vibrating, these won’t shake loose. Putting them to work These are perfect for curing ovens or drying lines. Since carbon fiber reacts so quickly, you can flip the power on and off aggressively to keep your temperatures exactly where you want them. One last tip if you’re swapping these into an old rig: keep an eye on your power draw. 2000W per lamp adds up fast. If you’re running a bank of ten or more, you might hit the limit of your power supply. Just something to check before you flip the switch.
