Putting them to work If you’ve got a drying or curing line, these usually slide right in. The cool thing is they heat your material directly. They don’t waste time heating up the air around it, so your ramp-up time is way shorter. But look, 2000W is a lot of heat. If you’re stuffing these into a tight box, you’ve got to think about your ventilation. If air can’t move around the ends of the lamp, you’ll end up melting your wiring or frying your sockets.
