Not random. We size it so the radiant field lines up with the width of the product path. If you’re heating PET bottles or preforms, the lamp length and wattage are matched to cover the zone evenly.
Material & Design: Quartz, Coating, and Connectors
The filament sits inside a quartz envelope because quartz handles the thermal shock of rapid cycling and stays steady at high temps. We add a reflective coating to the tube to push IR energy forward, so less heat goes to waste and more hits the target. On the plant floor, connectors matter. The R7s double-ended fitting is the standard for many industrial heaters because it gives solid contact, easy replacement, and repeatable alignment. It also keeps the lamp seated even when there’s vibration, so you don’t get arcing or intermittent connections. These lamps are made for production environments. You’ll see them in PET preform heating and blowing, plastic welding, coating curing, and thermoforming.
