Carbon Fiber Halogen Lamps: Precision Heat, Built for the Grind
Let’s cut through the noise. We didn’t build this carbon fiber lamp to be just another light. It’s a purpose-built heater, plain and simple. Designed for industrial work that demands intense, controllable heat in a tight space.
Under the Hood
Here’s the thing—this lamp was built to fit into the real world of machines, not just a spec sheet. It runs on a 400V supply, pushing high current through the element. The payoff? You get a rapid temperature rise, and it holds steady even when the machine is under load. We chose wattage that packs a serious punch in a small area. So you get that fast warm-up without having to re-engineer your whole system to make room for it. And the 300mm tube length? That keeps the heat focused right where you need it, slipping into spots where a longer heater would be a non-starter.
What It’s Made Of
Inside, the carbon fiber filament sits within a quartz envelope. We went with quartz because it handles sudden temperature shifts without cracking, and it delivers consistent performance, day after day. Halogen gas fills the tube, which keeps the filament stable and helps prevent that annoying blackening over time. The coating is there for a reason, too. It manages the infrared output and shields the quartz from harsh conditions. For hooking it up, the R7s connector gives you a secure, two-terminal interface. It’s straightforward to wire and holds its alignment in the machine bracket. No fuss.
Where It Shines
This setup is perfect for jobs like PET blowing, where you need to hit the preform with localized, repeatable heat—without turning the whole machine into a convection oven. The short hot zone and fast response help you hit those cycle targets and keep temperatures even. It’s tough enough to take the daily grind of an industrial cell. But, and this is important, that high power density means you need to plan for proper cooling and clearance. Just spec out the heat load, make sure your airflow is right, and you’ll have a workhorse that just gets the job done.
